Archaeological excavation of a potential Roman marching camp at Hrdly, Litoměřice District
Project team: Mgr. Karel Kůt (director) et alii.
Project overview: A series of interesting terrain features south of the village of Hrdly was first identified by Martin Gojda on repeated aerial prospection surveys. In 2013 and 2014, the Institute of Classical Archaeology undertook two seasons of excavations to determine if more could be learned about these features by fieldwork and, if possible, evidence connecting the fortification with a Roman military presence could be collected.
